What all industries have in common

People and their qualifications

Not everyone may work on a gas boiler, and not everyone on an electrical inspection either. You name skills yourself and the free capacity filter then returns only technicians who have all the required ones. The date offer uses the same filter.

Days, hours and absences

A three-day installation and a one-hour job are planned on one team capacity. Planned work, holidays, sick leave and blocked time are subtracted in the free time calculation before you promise a date.

A date the customer knows about

The customer gets a link with free days and picks one themselves, or confirms on the client link a date you propose. Proposed and confirmed dates are distinguished in the calendar.

Who ServisBook is for and who it is not for

ServisBook is for technical companies that send people to customers and need to know who goes where and when. Typically it is a company with a few to dozens of technicians that today plans in Excel, in a shared calendar or in the dispatcher's head. The industry matters less than it might seem: HVAC and electrical work face the same questions, just with different qualifications and different job lengths.

It is a good fit when at least one of these situations keeps happening to you:

  • During a call you cannot tell the customer when someone will come.
  • Sometimes a person without the required qualification goes to a job, or two people at once.
  • Recurring services and inspections are tracked from memory or in a spreadsheet kept by one person.
  • A morning change of plan means calling the whole team.

It is not a fit for large enterprises with their own ERP, where technician scheduling must be part of it, nor for companies that do not need to schedule people over time. ServisBook also does not issue invoices or keep stock. It plans people and dates and keeps the history of the order; accounting stays in your existing program. What it costs is in the pricing.
