A model week: twelve technicians, two crews and a queue of orders
A service and installation company with twelve technicians. Some go out alone on service jobs, two crews spend several days installing at one site.
Monday: what is promised and what is waiting
New orders are created in the office, often while still on the phone. Anything without a date sits in the unscheduled queue. The dispatcher sees at a glance what is agreed and what is still waiting for a date.
An installation crew for the whole week
Three installers go on a four-day installation. One appointment, three people, a continuous bar across four days. When one of them has to move elsewhere on Wednesday, the crew changes for that day only.
Service jobs between installations
The other technicians cover one-day jobs. Schedule all proposes from the queue who goes where, taking skills, absences and travel into account. The dispatcher reviews the proposal, unticks unsuitable rows and creates the rest.
The customer wants a different day
Through the client link the customer confirms the appointment, or asks for another and writes when would suit them. The request appears in the To resolve strip on the Today screen. After rescheduling the notice disappears on its own.
Friday: what is really done
Technicians finish their work in My day and report tasks, including extra work. Unfinished appointments stay open, so an order does not end up among the finished ones just because someone went there once.
